Goggle Assignment

I love Google. I use it to look up books that customers ask me for that I can not find in the catalogue - they usually have mistakes in the title - and Google fixes them so that I can find them in the our catalogue.

I use Google Maps to find directions.

I use Google to find information on when a customer asks me things that I really have no idea what they are talking about - so that I can find information for them in our collection.

I checked out a few new things while exploring and intend to use them now I have seen them.

Cpl 2.0 - Facebook

Facebook for me is not useful and I would never use it or have any interest in it if it were not for this assignment. I am not a big social networking person - I still prefer to speak to my frinds on the phone or contact them by letter. Maybe it is my age!

Wikipedia - Assignment 3

I have used Wikipedia in the past but I really don't trust it - due to the fact that anyone can edit it. I have used it as a back up reference source and probably will continue to do so.

It is not hard to find articles and the ones that I did check the spelling and grammar appeared to be correct.

Delicious

After checking out Delicious - and spending some time with it - I really didn't find it all that useful. I will use it on occasion to check for information now that I know that CPL staff have checked it for accuracy and for up to date info as another source.
