Twittering

I don't think that Twittering is for me! Even though Ashton Kutcher is cute and all - I still prefer other ways to stay in touch with my friends and I don't think anyone is remotely interested in what I am doing every minute of every day.

Although I found it easy to use and to navigate around - I know that I would never use it!

I love this site! I can see me using this all the time on a personal level - for keeping track of what I read and also for keeping lists of what I want to read. I read some book reviews, some articles and found the site very easy to navigate around.

Google Documents

It was easy to try out Google documents and the calendars. Yes, they are handy..would I use them? Probably not. The good old kitchen calendar is still the thing my family and I use. Just easier that way, plus my life isn't busy enough that I have to try to keep track of my appointments electronically.
Google documents...again, easy to look up and use if I need to. Might try it one of these days..

Flickr and You Tube

I was familiar with both Flickr and You Tube before this assignment and I find them easy to use. However I am glad that I was able to spend a little bit more time exploring them and learning new things about both the sites.

RSS

I can see how RSS feeds could be very useful and interesting. I have signed up for 2 or 3 and I look forward in the coming days to see what comes to me and if it works well I will sign up for more!

Goggle Assignment

I love Google. I use it to look up books that customers ask me for that I can not find in the catalogue - they usually have mistakes in the title - and Google fixes them so that I can find them in the our catalogue.

I use Google Maps to find directions.

I use Google to find information on when a customer asks me things that I really have no idea what they are talking about - so that I can find information for them in our collection.

I checked out a few new things while exploring and intend to use them now I have seen them.

Cpl 2.0 - Facebook

Facebook for me is not useful and I would never use it or have any interest in it if it were not for this assignment. I am not a big social networking person - I still prefer to speak to my frinds on the phone or contact them by letter. Maybe it is my age!
